Innovation Award For Architecture Textiles Objects goes to Rossoacoustic TP 30 KNIT

The fabric-covered Rossoacoustic TP 30 KNIT room-partitioning system has received the "Innovation Award for Architecture Textiles Objects".

The competition is organized by the renowned architecture journals AIT and xia IntelligenteArchitektur and is aimed at designers and manufacturers of innovative products in the fields of home textiles, contract furnishing and room solutions. This year, the awards were staged for the eleventh time on the occasion of the Heimtextil Fair 2014. The architecture and design competition was initiated with the intention of recognising those products that stand out from the multitude of solutions available on the market and go a long way toward addressing architects' concerns and meeting their needs.

Rossoacoustic TP 30 KNIT took on the competition and was awarded the top-ranking prize, the "Innovation Award For Architecture Textiles Objects".

Besides its design and acoustic benefits, there is yet another fascinating aspect to the Rossoacoustic TP 30 KNIT: the fabric covers are manufactured by means of a new kind of CAD-controlled knitting process. This is the only manufacturing process which can be used to knit fabric covers without seams. A further advantage of this completely waste-free, economic, endless knitting technique is that fabric covers fit perfectly and are not subject to deformation, thus enabling the uniquely accurate edge formation displayed by the Rossoacoustic TP30 KNIT.
The CAD controlled knitting process also offers the possibility of individualization. Taking specific manufacturing requirements into account, coloured areas and individual patterns can be knitted into the fabric covers.
