Nimbus Racing: 24 hours in the saddle

With its successful "Biker Original", the Nimbus Racing Team took on yet another 24-hour race. All alone against the clock, Jürgen Serr – in "normal life" quality manager at the Nimbus Group – completed 56 8.5 kilometre laps at the Landscape Park Duisburg Nord. And the result was a sensation: Serr finished as the best amateur rider! Only professional mountain bike riders beat the 35-year old to the line.

The nonstop MTB race took place right in the heart of the Ruhr region at the beginning of August and is one of Europe's biggest 24-hour races. In the MountainBIKE 24 Hours organised by the Stadtwerke Duisburg utility company, the studded tyres never come to a standstill. In teams of one, two, four or eight, participants are constantly on the go on an 8.5 kilometre course through the unique "Landscape Park Nord", an old ironworks which has been converted into an industrial monument.

We would like to congratulate Jürgen Serr on his outstanding performance and look forward to the next big race!
