Now available – Rossoacoustic PAD

"Light meets acoustics" – that is the Nimbus Group's motto for the current year. The Stuttgart enterprise's two brands – Nimbus (light) and Rosso (acoustics) – are fusing even more closely with one another.

The first result of this symbiosis is a totally new development - the Rossoacoustic PAD product family. In Rossoacoustic PADs, we are offering planners and users an extraordinary and highly effective acoustic tool. The extremely dense front fleece of the Rossoacoustic PADs is a mere 10 mm thick. A fleece cushion set back from the edges on the rear side enhances the absorption properties of the Rossoacoustic PAD PLUS and turns it into an effective broadband absorber in the top-rated Class A.

Thanks to their outstanding level of absorption, the new Rossoacoustic PADs efficiently counteract the acoustically hard surfaces so often found in contemporary architecture. Due to their low weight, they can easily be fastened in the thin ceiling covering of complex concrete ceilings.

Thin to start off with, the surrounding compressed edge makes the form of the Rossoacoustic PADs appear even more delicate. Embossed indentations in the surface create a slight shading of the incident light and enhance the soft, textile impression given by the Rossoacoustic PADs. With the principle of the soft indentations in the surface, the corner radii and the tapering of the edges, the design of the Rossoacoustic PADs quotes a number of formal elements of the Nimbus LED luminaires. The edge lengths and diameters of the Rossoacoustic PADs are also a perfect match to their glowing counterparts, the Nimbus Modul Q and R LED luminaires.

The elements in the Rossoacoustic PAD product family consist of two basic forms, each of which comes in three sizes, thereby allowing a wide variety of applications and combinations. A finely nuanced colour range is also available for the Rossoacoustic PADs. Besides a warm white, users have a choice of six harmonious natural colours that allow perfectly coordinated colour combinations. Rossoacoustic PADs can also be mounted vertically on the wall with no problem at all, where they act as wall absorbers that make an effective contribution to enhanced room acoustics.
