Head office of Bauknecht AG/Whirlpool Group, Lenzburg (CH)

The Whirlpool Group is a giant among domestic appliance manufacturers. Renowned brands such as Bauknecht, Indesit or Kitchen Aid belong to the group. An Inspiration Center covering 550 square metres has been established at the company head office in Lenzburg in Switzerland. It aims to demonstrate how living and everyday organisation of the household will change in future in the face of digitally connected appliances. Various stations inform visitors on issues such as the environment, the correct care for products, conserving foods, the influence of noises in the household, the opportunities presented by connectivity, design processes or available services. The project involved acoustic optimisation of the spacious and generously organised rooms. Felice Dittli, who runs the Lucerne-based dittlidesign office specialising in interior architecture, product design and lighting, was responsible for the planning. In this future-oriented environment, he opted for Rossoacoustic PADs Q 1200 plusin the colour shade "far mountain". They have been installed in the reception and lounge areas, in the service zones and in the offices located on the upper floors. As Dittli explained: "I was convinced by the service and consulting offered by Rosso as well as by the product's aesthetic and acoustic qualities."
