Soundmasking – a luminaire that combats office noise

A luminaire that can do more than merely radiate light: it can also lay a pleasant "noise curtain" over office noise.

Last autumn, the Nimbus Group attracted a lot of attention at the Orgatec trade fair with a design study on this sound-masking LED luminaire.

The Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk television channel recently featured this new development in a clip entitled "Eine Leuchte gegen den Bürolärm" (A luminaire that combats office noise). The four-minute item shows the luminaire in an everyday office situation and really sheds a great deal of light on the subject.
The Nimbus Group developed the idea for the sound-masking luminaire together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics.
