Out of the box - aed event at the Mock-Up Stuttgart on 12.06.

On Wednesday 12th June 2013, Nimbus will once again be playing host to the aed – the Association for the Promotion of Architecture, Engineering and Design in Stuttgart.
"Out of the Box: Design in an intercultural context" is the subject of the entertaining presentation and discussion event in the middle of June.
The event will be dedicated to the experiences architects, engineer and designers have gathered in projects characterised by unfamiliar cultural, technical and climatic conditions.

The speakers include:

• Architecture students from the Institute of Public Buildings and Designs (Prof. Arno Lederer) at the University of Stuttgart, who will be reporting on their experiences during the "Village of Hope" aid project for AIDS orphans and children infected with HIV in Grabouw/South Africa
• Ingenieure ohne Grenzen (Engineers without Borders)

The aed is an initiative founded by Stuttgart engineers, architects and designers with the aim of promoting design expertise in the Stuttgart region – from product and graphic design, multimedia and engineering through to architecture – and raising awareness of the topic with the general public.
