Official opening of new 'heart' of the Nimbus Group

For the last few weeks, the heart of the Nimbus Group has been beating to a new rhythm: a new staff canteen covering 260 square meters has been installed for the 150 or so employees at the headquarters in Stuttgart. However, the idea of one canteen for all is not new. The entire staff has breakfasted together since the company was founded almost 25 years ago and it has become a deeply rooted tradition at the Nimbus Group.

But the old canteen was getting on in years and was bursting at the seams due to the enormous growth in the company and its staff. In the new canteen, the tables and the seating are grouped in lines and the colour scheme is classical black and white. This strict design is rendered less severe by the soft, flowing formal idiom of the brand new Squeeze LED luminaires, suspended above the tables in their colourful splendour. The playful ceiling panel also features islands of light consisting of Modul R luminaires and suspended, transparent CP 30 elements, which also have a positive effect on the room's acoustics.

The new canteen was designed by the Nimbus Group's internal design and development department in collaboration with the architect Christian Wiegel (project monitoring and construction supervision) and the Stuttgart firm OCKERTUNDPARTNER, which was responsible for the room's remarkable graphics.
