FUTURE DREAMS, FUTURE SCHEMES: enthusiastic visitors at the BDIA event

Over 120 interior designers and architects discussed FUTURE DREAMS, FUTURE SCHEMES and "The office of the future" at the Nimbus Group Mock-Up in Stuttgart on 14.10.2011.

Visitors to the joint event held by the Baden-Württemberg branch of the Union of German Interior Architects/Designers (BDIA) and the Nimbus Group enthusiastically received informative and entertaining presentations by Stefan Rief, head of the Workspace Innovation Competence Center at the Fraunhofer IAO and by Alexander Rieck, a partner in the internationally engaged LAVA EUROPE, the Laboratory for Visionary Architecture.

A further highlight of the one-day event came in the form of an exclusive pre-opening guided tour of the Fraunhofer IAO's trendsetting new building in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, a building whose unusual architectural idiom leaves viewers with a lasting impression. This spectacular building was designed by ASPLAN, Kaiserlautern together with the well-known Amsterdam office, UN Studio. The Institute is scheduled to open in spring 2012.

Following the presentations, there was a gastronomic soirée at our Mock-Up featuring the opening of the BDIA exhibition BEST OF 2011/12 with fascinating highlights from the world of interior design. Twenty-two current interior design projects are presented in this fascinating touring exhibition, which can be seen at the Mock-Up until 18.11.2011. We look forward to your visit!
