Soccer tournament: Every team for itself and Nimbus right in the middle

In November, four teams took to the field at the first Combinat 56 soccer tournament at SoccArena in the Olympiapark in Munich. As well as battling for their honour, the teams were also competing for the "Co-Cup", sponsored by the Nimbus Group and the office furniture company Bene Büromöbel.

It is hard to imagine that there was a time when Munich had no Combinat 56 - a flexible co-working and event location. Since opening on 1st May 2010, it has enjoyed increasing popularity as a cradle of creativity in the city's Ackermannbogen district.
And as great importance has been placed on a sense of community in Combinat 56 right from the very beginning, there has always been a place on the agenda for communal sporting activities. The weekly "company sports session", a B2Run and a 100 km trail walk are among the activities arranged so far, and in November the time had come for another gruelling communal activity – the first Combinat soccer tournament.

Lots were drawn to allocate a total of 20 players – recruited from the ranks of the Combinat, Nimbus, Bene and Vitra as well as friends of the Combinat – to their teams. It was pure coincidence that the tournament sponsors all ended up in one team, which went on to narrowly lose the final.... Their breasts swollen with pride, the Nimbus players all wore specially produced Nimbus shirts.
We would like to congratulate the victorious team and are already looking forward to next year's tournament!
